Mia is a paediatric Speech Pathologist who supports children and families using a neuroaffirming, relationship-based approach. She works alongside children to build communication in ways that are meaningful, respectful, and grounded in each child’s strengths.
Mia believes that communication grows through connection. Her practice prioritises emotional safety, regulation, and shared enjoyment, recognising these as the foundations for learning and communications. She draws on DIR-Floortime and evidence-informed frameworks to support children to communicate in ways that feel authentic to them.
She has experience supporting children with a wide range of communication profiles, including autism, developmental language differences, AAC users, literacy challenges, and social communication needs. Mia works closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure support is practical, collaborative, and transferable across everyday environments.
Mia is passionate about supporting children to be understood rather than changed.
